Elizabeth Dipuo Peters

Minister Peters was born on 13 May 1960. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from University of the North obtained in 1987. Between 1994 and 1997, she was Member of Parliament during which time she served in the Portfolio Committees on Home Affairs, Public Works, Social Services and Health. The Minister returned to the NC where she served in various portfolios including health, and also as the Premier. Prior to being moved to the Transport portfolio, she was Minister of the Energy Department since 2009. She holds various leadership and development certificates from notable institutions as Havana in Cuba, the University of Cape Town and the University of the Western Cape.
