Marius Llewellyn Fransman

Deputy Minister Fransman matriculated with exemption at Bishop Lavis Secondary School in 1987. He holds a BA degree from the University of the Western Cape (UWC); and a couple of diplomas. He became a Member of Parliament in 2009; he chaired the Portfolio Committee on Higher Education. Deputy Minister Fransman taught at Vredendal School, and also worked for Surplus People's Project as Farm Dweller Project Manager. During this time he organised, mobilised and played an advocacy role for the rights of farm-dwellers including issues of tenure rights.
